Just a short note this week to give you a high five.

If you are reading this note, you care about being a great coach.

I just was on the phone with a newer coach who was seeking some advice, and his passion for learning and doing what is best for his athletes was a reminder of how important our calling is.

He said 'my first few years of being a coach I was so focused on the game, I never spent time thinking about coaching. There is a lot more to coaching than I ever realized.'

Yes there is. Being a coach is hard. Emotionally draining. A rollercoaster ride.

But so important! And worth it.

So great job coach. You will most likely never get the credit you deserve from the athletes, parents, or other coaches. But I know how much you care - so keep up the great work and keep building strong children.

Thank you for all you do coach!
